Multichannel or stereo
What you send to the others and how they receive it.
The two modes
- Multichannel (MULTI CH on): each of your channels with TX on reaches the others as a separate strip, with its own name and icon. Listeners can balance your mic and your guitar however they like.
- Stereo: the others receive a single stereo mix, yours. It uses less bandwidth.
When to choose which
- In multichannel everyone makes their own mix, as in a studio: it's the mode GangJam was born for.
- Stereo is for when your connection is very slow, or when you want to decide the balance the others hear.
- You can switch even during a jam: the others' strips update by themselves.
What the others receive
What reaches them is what has TX on, always taken before the fader: the channel fader, M:PRE / M:POST and the master change only what you hear. The gain knob, HPF, EQ, DYN, AMP, INS and pan apply to the others too, and MUTE turns the channel off for them as well. A MUTE on the master turns off your outputs, not your signal to the band.
