Effects, amps and tuner
VST3 plugins, NAM amps, Tone3000 presets and tuner.
VST3 effects (INS)
- INS opens the strip's effects chain: up to 16 slots, from top to bottom.
- Click a slot to choose an installed VST3 plugin; the plugin's interface opens right away. For each row you can open its window, bypass it, remove it or drag it to another slot.
- GangJam finds installed plugins by itself. RESCAN looks for new ones and gives skipped ones another chance. Each plugin is checked in a separate process: a faulty one is skipped without closing GangJam.
- If a plugin outputs two channels, the strip turns stereo by itself.
Amp simulator (AMP)
- AMP loads a NAM (Neural Amp Modeler) model, i.e. a capture of a real amplifier, directly on the strip.
- From the built-in browser you choose and download models shared on Tone3000.
Tuner (TUN)
- TUN opens the strip's tuner: play a string and read the note and how many cents off it is.
- POLI mode checks all the strings at once with a single open strum.
- DIAPASON mode plays a reference note in your headphones; the other musicians don't hear it.
Effects and CPU load
Effects run inside the audio engine: a heavy plugin on a slow PC can cause crackles, for you and for the others. If that happens, try a lighter preset or raise the interface's buffer.
